Esta mañana antes de venir a la oficina he podido ver el documental 20–S de Mediapro en TV3 y, a pesar de la rabia, hasta ahora no he podido escribir sobre el tema.

El documental es impresionante. Demuestra lo que ya sabíamos: los Jordis y los políticos catalanes en prisión y en el exilio son inocentes de todo lo que se les acusa.

El dispositivo del 20-S fue una trampa, un montaje para provocar al pueblo catalán y que se produjeran altercados con los que poder justificar una represión política y policial contra el movimiento independentista. 

A España no le salió bien la jugada, tal y como demuestra el documental. A pesar de las provocaciones de la policía española en su intento de entrar de forma ilegal en la sede de la CUP (sin orden judicial), a pesar de dejar armas dentro de los coches de la Guardia Civil a modo de cebo para ver si alguien picaba y les daba la excusa… a pesar de todo esto ni hubo violencia por parte de los manifestantes, ni se amenazó en ningún momento la seguridad de los integrantes de la comisión judicial.

Sin embargo, tanto los Jordis como los políticos catalanes siguen en prisión o en el exilio. Ya no son presos políticos, sino que a estas alturas son REHENES del gobierno español, y éste los usará como moneda de cambio para presionar a Catalunya y a nuestro Govern. Todo este jaleo para intentar evitar el referéndum sobre la independencia de Catalunya del 1 de octubre.

¿Y por qué todo esto? Pensemos un poco: ¿qué va a pasar en España cuando Catalunya se independice? Pues que los vascos serán los siguientes y es posible que despierten o crezcan los movimientos independentistas en Galicia y Andalucía. Vamos, que España se desintegra. Esto apenas afectará a la gente de a pie, que al fin y al cabo, seguirán haciendo sus vidas como siempre sin grandes cambios; técnicamente estarán viviendo en un país distinto, o en la España de siempre, pero con menos comunidades autónomas y probablemente menos presupuesto.

¿A quién SÍ afectaría esto? Al único a quien le da igual qué partido gobierne es al rey (y por extensión al resto de la familia real), porque él sigue teniendo los mismos privilegios. Al rey le da igual si algún loco da un golpe de estado e impone una dictadura militar, siempre y cuando se trate de un militar casposo y facha de estos que se pasan el día gritando ¡VIVASPAÑA! y masturbándose mirando una bandera española (preferiblemente la del pollo).

Da la impresión de que esto es precisamente lo que intenta Felipito El Último. Sobre todo después de ver la forma en que se dedicó a provocar e insultar a los catalanes en su discurso del 3-O.

Últimamente estamos viendo demasiadas provocaciones obvias y demasiados jueces puestos a dedo por el PP prevaricando de forma evidente, mientras otros jueces y ex-jueces avisan de que este comportamiento es ilegal. Por otra parte, dejan a los integrantes de La Manada y a los nazis de Blanquerna en libertad mientras tienen a los chavales de Altsasu en la cárcel, acusados de terrorismo debido al montaje policial que se ha montado para encausarlos. Sin olvidar a los políticos catalanes en prisión o en el exilio, que están acusados de rebelión bajo cargos inventados…

¿Y quién está detrás de todo esto? La Guardia Civil.

Parece ser que la Casa Real (o miembros del anterior gobierno) están usando Guardia Civil y poder judicial para provocar a la población española (no solo a los catalanes) para que se produzca algún tipo de alzamiento violento de los de verdad y así poder justificar que algún alto cargo de la Guardia Civil o del ejército, con muy pocas luces pero mucho pollo en la bandera, tome las calles con tanques “por la unidá despaña”.

Porque, seamos honestos, el rey la cagó en su discurso del 3-O, y la única forma que tiene en estos momentos de mantenerse donde está (viendo cómo el sentimiento republicano está creciendo en toda España), es provocar un golpe de estado y tomar el país por la fuerza. ¡Y que se jodan los españoles!

En mi opinión, lo que tendría que hacer el MHP Torra es convocar ya un último referéndum sobre la independencia de Catalunya, y que este sea estrictamente vinculante. Y si el presidente español se niega, que se joda. A ver si después de la que montaron el 1-O, el gobierno español se atreve a enviarnos otra vez a sus matones para intentar evitar a hostias la celebración de un nuevo referéndum, mientras el resto del mundo mira.

Personalmente tengo muy claro cuál va a ser el resultado de ese referéndum: el mismo que el 1-O del 2017, aunque con más votos contabilizados y menos tabarnícolas y fachas hablando de cuarentayochoporcientos (Inés, lo digo por ti, rata inmunda).

Hay otra cosa que tengo clara: los responsables de lo que ocurrió el 20-S y el 1-O no pueden quedar impunes. Los políticos que ordenaron los registros ilegales de la sede de la CUP y los cargos policiales que organizaron el montaje para intentar provocar a los catalanes tienen que ser expuestos y procesados. No me cabe duda de que, como mínimo, Soraya Sáez de Santamaría, Juan Ignacio Zoido, Rafael Catalá y Daniel Baena están metidos hasta el cuello. Y, evidentemente, también están metidos los jueces Llarena y Lamela, muy prevaricadores y corruptos los dos.

No podemos dejar que el gobierno corrupto español y el tirano Felipe VI se salgan con la suya. Referéndum vinculante sobre la independencia de Catalunya, sí o sí, e implementación inmediata del resultado. Y si España pone trabas: huelga general indefinida hasta que se les bajen los humos.

The MSX Resource Center (most commonly known as MRC) is currently the biggest MSX user community on the Internet. It started when Sander van Nunen in the Netherlands registered the msx.org domain around 1996. Search results for “MSX” or “MSX computers” on Google show the MRC near the top because their domain name matches the search and also because it has been around for so long.

This is unfortunate, because the MRC is a toxic community and it keeps harming the MSX scene.

The latest incident happened just yesterday. What started as a post about Brazilian MSX users taking a stand against piracy ended in a heated discussion when the user foobarry81 attacked the game developer Kralizec. The MRC moderators did nothing to stop this user, resulting in continuous attacks agains Kralizec and several users publicly announcing they were leaving the MRC for good.

In other words, a shitstorm.

For the last ~20 years I’ve been a user of the MSX Resource Center, but differences with the msx.org staff made me leave yesterday. To be precise, I cannot accept the childish behaviour of one of the administrators: Sander Zuidema (snout).

The problem revolves around the user Oscar Albero (Kai Magazine). To summarize:

• Oscar is releasing a new game called Life On Mars, which he’s selling for 39 euro (about $42).
• Life On Mars uses graphics stolen from Nintendo’s Metroid Fusion and at least two other sources.
• User Arkhan (Andrew Darovich, who is himself a game developer) notices the stolen content and calls Oscar out on this.
• Oscar evades the point, going on a tangent on how much work he has put on the game (he claims “over 1000 hours”) and lying about having created “over 90%” of the content.
• Admin snout joins the discussion, insulting Arkhan calling him a nutjob and posting an offensive image.
• Meits (Jelle Jelsma, another admin) joins the conversation and takes sides against Arkhan. Arkhan is forced to defend himself from the insults of Oscar, snout, Meits and Grauw (Laurens Holst, who joins the others).
• Arkhan obviously gets more and more frustrated.
• snout makes things worse by childishly posting a log from the #msxdev IRC channel at Rizon. The log shows that users on IRC are also discussing Kai stealing the Metroid graphics.
• One of the users on IRC happens to be GuyveR800 (Patriek Lesparre), who snout has personal issues with.
• snout bans Arkhan from msx.org because of his association with Patriek on #msxdev
• I join the thread and explain how I agree with Arkhan’s point (the graphics ARE stolen), and that he shouldn’t be insulted (and much less banned!) for telling the truth. For this I get put down on the thread while simultaneously other users are insulting me on a closed MSX-related Facebook group for agreeing with Arkhan.

I will not put up with this childish behaviour, so I’ve left both msx.org (I’ve requested them to delete my accounts there) and also the MSX Boixos Club Facebook group.

This shocked me yesterday. If you’re an MSX user then you may have heard about Nestor Soriano (AKA konamiman). He’s the guy who developed:

• Nextor, a new operating system for MSX (which I will talk about in the future on this blog), fully compatible with MSX-DOS2 and with FAT16 support
• NestorBASIC, an extended, more powerful version of MSX BASIC
• NestorPreTer, a new MSX BASIC preprocessor to make programming in MSX BASIC easier
• InterNestor Lite, a full TCP/IP stack for MSX2/2+/turbo R computers (yes, allows you to connect your MSX to the Internet)
• A bunch of Internet applications for MSX, including Dropbox, Twitter, FTP, Windows shared folders, clock synchronization via NTP, wget client…
• Firmware for MSX peripherals: ObsoNET and DenYoNet (Ethernet cards for MSX), MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD (interface to use SD cards as hard drives on the MSX), Tecnobytes’ IDE cartridge, etc.

If you’re keeping your MSX equipment up to date, the chances are high that you’re using for free something he has created, because that’s what he does: he gives all of this to the MSX community for free.

So what shocked me yesterday?

Without thinking much about it I installed the client and downloaded the content, then gave it a try for a few minutes. Yes, it looks fantastic. However, this time I’m not staying. Azeroth won’t be seeing me again anytime soon.

Let me tell you a little secret about myself: I can sense the ghosts of dead people, and I’m not using a metaphor here. I really mean ghosts, or souls, or spirits of other dead people. Call them whatever you want. I can feel them, and they used to scare the shit out of me.

This started when I was a kid. The apartment where my parents raised me had a badly-lit corridor with the living room on one end, my parents’ bedroom on the other, and my own bedroom and a bathroom in between. Often, on my way back from the bathroom, I would have a slight feeling that someone was behind me, just standing there looking at my back. I would turn, and each and every time I was unable to see anyone or anything. However, I felt, I knew there was somebody there, some presence staring at me. I would hurry up, run back to my room, and close the door behind me.

On February 4th 2014 there was a debate between Bill Nye (American scientist known for his The Science Guy educational program) and Ken Ham (the creationist behind the Creation Museum and Answers in Genesis). The topic was:

Is creation a viable model of origins in today’s modern, scientific era?

The whole debate is available online here (warning: it’s over two hours long), but this is not what I want to write about this time. During the debate, Matt Stopera from BuzzFeed asked 22 creationists to write a message or question to the other side. Most questions were quite dumb. This one is my favourite:

I thought it would be fun (for me) to reply these questions, so here are my answers (keep reading).

In case you hadn’t heard about this already, pay attention to the last piece of nonsense courtesy of the authoritarian party controlling the Spanish government, the Partido Popular (Popular Party, also know as PP.)

As you may know, in Spain we speak several different languages. The official one is Spanish, spoken in the whole territory, but in some areas Spanish coexists with one or more local languages: Galician, Basque, Catalan, Valencian, Aragonese… However, the fascists in control of the government don’t like this a bit. They want a pure castillian race speaking only Spanish, and they’re proceeding in the same way as Hitler when he tried to destroy everything that wasn’t his aryan race (there, it took me just ten seconds to do a Godwin.)

So what great idea did the retards from PP have this time? They decided to rename Catalan and Aragonese! My guess is that they are trying to erase every mention of these languages from official government documents, hoping that we will forget our mother languages. So far this law has only passed in the administrative region of Aragón, just west from Catalonia, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did the same in other regions.

Who do we have to thank for this great, great idea? Her name is Luisita Fernanda Rudi, who is currently the president of the Aragón county council, and also president of the NazPopular Party of Aragon. As an unrelated note, her daddy was a member of the military on the side that helped Hitler’s buddy Francisco Franco take power. I’m suuuure this is of no relevance.

Something you see very often on the Internet are people talking about things they know nothing about, or intentionally just posting information they know is wrong (these are know as trolls.) It happens very often on online forums, or in the comments section of news sites. From time to time I join the conversation in order to clarify. And to prove that I’m smarter and always right, of course.

Today I went to Shinjuku and ended up inside Tokyu Hands. This is a chain of big stores that sell a variety of products: from furniture to joke articles for parties, fitness equipment, kitchen tools… And there’s where I saw something that reminded me of a discussion on Slashdot a few weeks ago. In an article about Japanese police asking ISPs to block Tor exit nodes, a guy named ShanghaiBill started spreading bullshit about restrictive laws banning owning axes, requiring licenses to own scissors, and implying that it is illegal to own a knife with a blade longer than 5cm:This is obviously not true, but I didn’t waste my time replying back then.

To the guys doing interface design at Google: for fuck’s sake, do something already about the language settings on your search interface.

This is an example of what I see everyday when I’m searching things on Google while logged to my account. Notice that the interface and the search results are in Japanese:

 Yes, I can read Japanese, but that’s not the point. My Google account is configured to display an English interface and provide search results from English sites, and I would expect these settings to work from a company like Google:

Manually going to http://www.google.com/intl/en works, but I’d rather not have to enter the URL manually every time I need to search for something. To make things more fun, logging out from my Google account also displays an English interface with English search results, because that’s the primary language on my web browser.

I’m sure I’m not the first person complaining about this. Please do something already.
