Shinjuku West side.
I used to come here almost every evening during my first few years in Japan because I worked nearby and I enjoyed walking around exploring the side streets and getting lost in the crowds.
Like always in Tokyo, much remain the same, but much has changed.
Most notably, the Odakyu department store is no longer there. It was demolished in 2023 (if I recall correctly), and it's being replaced with a new 260m tall tower and shopping complex. The whole redevelopment is scheduled to be completed sometime in the 2040s.
Seeing the city change over the years is one of the reasons why I love going back to places that I visited in the past.
