In case you were wondering how how Japanese summers get

I went on a trip to France for two weeks and left these two big IKEA candles near a window. This is how I found them when I came back.

I went on a trip to France from the last week of August to the first week of September, and I left these two candles by the window in my staircase.

Outside the window there's a big momiji tree, so now during summer the tree foliage would have protected them from direct sunlight.

Apparently it didn't matter, and they still melted. 🫠
