A month ago I took the car to the dealer for in-warranty repairs, and I picked it up this Tuesday (which happened to be a national holiday here in Japan).
The first two of these four weeks I was traveling abroad, so it didn't matter that it was in the workshop. However, these last two weeks I've felt the need to use the car more than a few times. In the 18 years I lived in central Tokyo I rarely needed to drive, but here in Saitama it's practically a necessity, even one as impractical as this one.
On my way back from the dealer I stopped at the Daikoku parking area, then Umihotaru, and then Ropongi before heading back home. In the MIdtown parking lot I happened to run across a friend's McLaren (he's also a Lotus owner), even though I didn't get to see him.
Regarding the repairs: it was nothing mechanical, just an issue with the paint. Because of some defect in the process that Lotus used at the factory, both doors had air bubbles under the paint (see last photo). The dealer ordered new doors several months ago, and we got them replaced when the parts arrived.
